As usual there are several versions of the story. I heard that she was a prostitute at the Botanero who left with a client and never came back. As far as I know Anne is the only one to go to the Delegado and get the story. I did not see it on any other source, but then again I did not really look. On another issue. A local told me about a young person who lives in Los Ingenios... across the highway from La Manzanilla...getting arrested for being a hit man. According to him the police busted this person with a gun, the got suspicious and ran a ballistics test proving his involvement in 3 different killings. He said it was on the news about a week ago. There are a few stories....none so gruesome...that I have heard over the years which never made it to the message board. We have a ways to go before we are really in the loop of what is actually going on. As I have said in the past I would like it if this board was interpreted from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English on a constant basis, even though a version of that is available via Google translate. But on the other hand I am not sure we are ready to handle that level of conversation, nor would we want something as vague as a translation program handing a conversation which could easily be miss understood. So we have to be patient and hope that when we are ready it will happen. I am sure once it does we will embark on a rather large learning and adaptation curve. With patience and understanding we will make it. |
