On Thurs I had the absolute most orgasmic swim to the Rocks. If only you could have been with me. The color of the water (under the surface) was unmatched. It was a combination of the turquoise of the Caribe and green!! I got to the Rocks--(I head for the Right one) and had my usual conversation with the birds there. Once, they left the Rock one at a time, flew out low over my head, circled and flew back to the Rock. It was an amazing experience. Got to wondering if the same birds hang out on the same Rocks and therefore know me. I talk to them each time I go out there--in Spanish.

Anyway, the swim back in was glorious. Not to be compared to any I've had (except the swim to the Old Hotel).

But, the salinity of the water was at least double or triple normal. I got to wondering why. Then, I got to wondering where the salt comes from. Salt beds at the bottom?? Are they just open beds? I know our on-land geological saltbeds come from old oceans. Then, I got to wondering--all this was as I was swimming--Is the salinity of the open ocean equal world wide?

Once back near shore, the waves were crashing huge. I have a fun time diving right into them. I stayed there at least an hr doing this. Just didn't want to leave the wonderful water.

I do this swim every other day. Anyone want to join me? It's a wonder. I could show you some great things at the Rocks. Going again today.

Anyone know the answers to ocean salinity?

Anne
