July statistics: Average high temp: 87.5F/ 30.9C (89.8F/ 32C was the high) Average low temp: 78.8F/ 26C Average humidity: High: 80.2% - Low: 67.9% Total rainfall: 4.05 inches Past July rainfall amounts: 2004: 5.62 inches 2005: 2.42 " 2006: 9.51 " 2007: 9.69 " 2008: 15.89 " 2009: 3.07 " This morning brought dark clouds but only gentle rain, measuring .08/inch. Because of the 6.24 inches of rain we had in February, plus a little in both January and June, our annual rainfall is now up to 11.21 inches - still a long way from the 35 to 40 inches we get in a good year. Let's hope August and September send a few gentle storms our way. At 5 PM, it is 89F/31.7C - about as hot as it ever gets here, with 71% humidity and a nice ocean breeze from the southwest. A little steamy, but very green and beautiful. |
