This just came from a friend in El Rebalsito: This is a letter I am sending out to inform all interested in the happenings in Tenacatita. This morning prisoners were released, many of them teenage boys.All beaten with bruises,some with black eyes.The bail has been reduced from 20,000 pesos to 4,500 pesos,also don Cruz was released,the police hit him so hard that he needed 15 stitches.He had done nothing to provoke anyone,he was in bed sleeping when they came over and arrested him. We had a meeting today. Reporters were present,also a lawyer who is advising all to stay united and get their papers ready proving the ownerships. He wants to make a court case of the injustice The governer of Jalisco knew nothing about the takeover.As the facts are coming out,it seems that a president of this country did a favour to one of his friends and signed the documents needed to claim the beach.The new owner of the beach also somehow managed to purchase a piece of a public highway from the bridge(2km's from Tenacatita)all the way to the beach. The police received a document yesterday stating that they are suspended from protecting Tenacatita,but they ignore it and stay. Mario's house has been broken into by the police,they cook and sleep there,also the hotels. Josue and Reyna have saved a lot of stuff of Douglas trailer park,Mario house and the white house they managed.Most people don't have financial reserves here and those few days no work on a beach is already reflecting in Rebalsito.Cenadurias empty,no one buys chocomiles,people started asking for a credit in grocery stores.
