From latest EPAC Weather Discussion: OTHER SURFACE FEATURES...A SECOND SURFACE TROUGH IS OFF THE COAST OF W MEXICO EXTENDING FROM 19N106W ALONG 16N104W TO 15N98W GENERATING CLUSTERS OF SCATTERED MODERATE/ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION WITHIN 150 NM OF LINE FROM 13N96W TO 22N109W. Their graphic shows a line of showers going right over us (dotted lines denote rain): http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/tafb/PACFUL_12Z.gif I just got back from Melaque where I got totally drenched running back to my car - had to take off my shoes and go barefoot because of the level of water in the streets. Don't know how much rain we got while I was gone because our rain guage shows nothing right now. Sounds like a job for Sr. Darwin. I'll post rain totals tomorrow. |
