Hi Carol, I Googled Botanero, this was the first hit http://www.tomzap.com/botanero.html From what I know a Botanero is a place of prostitution....which is legal in Mexico. But its also a place where the women go for male dancers and a place for family's to go to. I guess I don't know enough to give you a good answer, other that there are multiple answers. Our Botanero is called Porky's, its about 2 or 3 blocks from the highway, turn right and go 1 and 1/2 blocks and you will see it. I personally have never been there, so not much more for me to say from personal experience. I have talked to people who live the late night life there, from what they say its a world of alcohol, whores, police etc. A place where life becomes more intense, real..... and I assume more dangerous. They post on the message board now and then, put Porky's in the search. I remember Jane Gorby did a post on girls night there, perhaps she will link to an account of that night...she said she had a blast. Porky's has a pink bus, I was getting some food to go from Yoli's on Saturday, the pink bus went by full of partying women and men.... they had to stop for something...the one window which was down quickly went up....sorry no good gossip to report. |
