| I think that's called a "rip tide" and they can be deadly. You did the right thing by not fighting it. I have no idea if this time of year is more prone to them, but I do know that they can happen anytime of year. From our house we can see the sand being pulled up from the bottom and then moving in huge plumes off shore. Please be very careful!! |
