As far I know there are no rescue facilities in the area. But my cousin runs on in Saint Charles Louisiana(not much help here).
Yes it is very sad, but pelicans do break their wings diving for food,etc. It is a natural occurrence. If you want to be really sad think about the plight of the thousands of Brown Pelicans being brought once again so close to extinction by mans stupidity and greed. The first time was DTT back in the 50's.
I'll say it again- BP you should be ashamed of yourself and your company policies of disregard for the environment and the protection of your workers. And if anyone out there thinks this is a political statement you are very wrong . It's a moral statement!
