Helga, I am not sure why you are attacking me. I am not trying to scare you. You don't have to open the post. I believe that knowledge is truth to power and denial is the problem. This massacre happened on the road to La Huerta just past Melaque near Lazaro Cardenas in Jalisco, not the Lazaro Cardenas in Colima state. On another message board, they pinpointed the exact location and it is disturbingly close to Melaque. Where I live we have no police and only 2 robberies in 25 years, and the teenagers involved participated in community reconciliation. Never has there been a violent incident in this little town. But this is Canada and we have few guns. I used to feel safe that there were few guns in Mexico, but that was naive thinking. Especially scary are the AK47's! I feel sorry for those living in the border areas where vast areas are now depopulated as a result of cartel turf wars. By the way, I love Mexico! |
