We've been living here about 2.5 years, but this will be the first September we've stayed put. Last summer, lightening struck (and killed) a tall coconut in our yard. I think it was when Andres was passing nearby offshore. It was loud too, but not nearly as loud as the one today.

This afternoon, I was having a siesta until the bomb went off (which is literally what it sounded like), so I didn't see the lightening either. My husband said he saw an almost simultaneous flash. Eileen reported in her earlier post that she saw it too.

Summer here is wonderful indeed. It's not nearly as hot as I thought it would be. These rain storms sure cool it off.
