This is really interesting information.

The only thing I found to be different is when a landowner on the beach contacted her bank because her title is in a bank trust, all the bank did is write a letter saying the bank would be willing to sign a power of attorney allowing the landowner to hire a lawyer to defend their property.

They didn't offer to defend it with their lawyers. It was a surprise, not a good one, since the bank has been accepting fees for that title for several years.

After finding this out, we're thinking a Mexican corporation might be better. The fees end up being about the same, but you won't have to ask someone for the right to defend your own property.

And I agree with Daniel about what this issue may essentially about:

Is a title in Mexico worth the paper it's written on? If it isn't, a bank trust nor corporation won't make much of a difference.

This is a separate issue from the current dispute and court case, but it will be the long term issue for Mexico, I would think.

Daniel has done an amazing job keeping us informed by posting so many relevant stories about Tenacatita and keeping the dialogue going.

Muchas gracias, Daniel and everyone contributing.
