Even though Frank is far to the west of us, it may continue to affect our weather. CNA warns of heavy rains along the coast today, from Michoacan to Sinaloa - accompanied by high waves. From the latest Tropical Weather Discussion: OUTSIDE OF SWELLS GENERATED BY FRANK..ALTIMETRY SHOWS LONG PERIOD S-SW SWELLS PEAKING AT 8 TO 10 FT S OF THE HURRICANE. SEAS IN THIS AREA ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY SUBSIDE FRI. The storm will be passing through this latitude today and tomorrow so we should expect the high wave action to continue at least that long. No sun so far this morning - temp at 9:30 is 82F/ 27.8C with 80% humidity. |
