...time for mountains to start moving - a very real
concern right now. Mike Barbee just called to say
that the road down the mountain from his house is
totally blocked at the hairpin turn. Maybe we can
use this forum today to post road conditions in
our various neighborhoods. I'll start - the road
up to these apartments is almost totally impassable
even with 4 wheel drive. If you go very slowly it's possible, but the ruts are very deep and getting deeper every day. It doesn't make sense to do any road repair until the rains stop so as long as we can manage it in our Jeep, it's going to stay that way.

September rain is now 7.13 inches. The record since we've been recording rainfall was in 2008
when the total was 13.38 inches. Since this is only the 5th of the month, we're probably heading for another record.

CNA is predicting more rain today, plus 25-40 kph
winds. There are no more systems forming to the south of us so maybe we'll get a break from all of this in a day or two. I see some sun coming through the clouds now but doubt if it will last. What next??
