...this system is already to the north of L.M. but has contributed to the rain and high waves we've experienced for the past few days.

Here are the most recent rainfall amounts:
9/16: 1.26 inches
9/17: -0-
9/18: 1.33 inches
9/19: 1.17
-overnight: .69/in.

That's a lot of rain in a short time (4.45 inches)
and our road is back to pretty much impassable (we
had it repaired on the 15th - great timing). September's total is now 15.92 inches which includes last night. The Sept. record (since 2004) is 13.38 inches in 2008; we should pass that shortly.

CNA has their stock prediction for the "Central
Pacific" again today - 80% chance of rain and winds of 30 to 45 kph (sometimes its 25 to 45). When the winds stop we usually get a lot of rain when the weather offshore is so unsettled ("area de inestabilidad". High waves will also continue until Invest 96 moves further north.

Tenacatita was lit by bright sunlight this morning, while La Manzanilla was still under low, dark clouds. Hope it was a good omen. It was the first good look I've had at the beachfront though, and there are many open spaces where palapa restaurants once stood.

Cool (79F/ 26.1C) with 78% humidity this morning.
Looks like more rain is coming in off the ocean
right now. More later.
