I found a perfect piece of land in LM but I & my lawyer are unconvinced the seller actually owns it. He has a document proving he purchased it and he has paid tax receipts, water receipts, etc., but no other documents. This is Fed Zone land not Ejido. The realtor seems satisfied.....the lawyer is not. Is there a central land registry where I can find out if he is the true owner? Any/all comments are appreciated.
