Let's not confuse salt water contamination with sewage that finds it's way underground either by seepage or a cesspool or septic system. The ability of most soils and the micro-biotic action that takes place there will clean the sewage. Any sewage that gets into the ground and then is drawn up to our well by hydrostatic pressure of a lot of pumping will have long been rendered safe. Salt water contaminates because the salt is in solution and can only be removed with very sophisticated filtration or evaporation.
