Great to hear you're in business, Judy R! So, to recap for anyone else, follow the instructions in my last post to create your online account. Then anytime you need to check the status of your latest bill or view it or print it or download it to your computer, go back to the same starting page http://www.cfe.gob.mx/ . In the green box in the upper right area, log in using the user name you chose during the account registration (now called "usario" on this page, it was called "cuenta de acceso" on the original registration page.) Enter the password ("contrasena") that you chose, then click "Entrar".

In the next page, look in the middle and you should see a line of text including your CFE Service #, your name, the due date of the most recent bill in the system (I don't think you can see any old bills with this site), and the amount due of that bill (should be a negative number if you have a credit).

At the beginning of this line of info is a little document-shaped icon you can click on if you just want to see you bill quickly, but it's hard to print it out cleanly using this one. Also the color of this icon tells you the status of your bill, according to CFE (might be a few days before they show the receipt of your payment): Due ("Vigente") is black, Paid ("Pagado") is green, or Overdue ("Vencido") is red.

At the right end of this line is the all-new, magical green down-arrow to download the bill as a .pdf file. Click on this and your computer will ask you if you want to save it to your hard drive or just temporarily open the bill to read it and/or print it. As long as you have Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer (almost everyone does), either of these options should work. That's it!

Another tip that might help you is to display the CFE web page in English: after you have logged in to your account look at the list of actions down the left side of the page. About half-way down is "Ingles". If you click it the page will change to English (mostly.) It helps a little, but not much.

English might be more helpful if you venture into some of the other actions in this list like "Actualiza tus datos" (update your data). Here you can change your mailing address (I think), change your online account password, or change the email address that CFE would send a password reset to.

When you're all done, look in the action list down the left side of the page for "Cerrar sesion" (Close session), to log out of your online account. This is a good idea especially on a shared computer (like in a cyber cafe.)

Good luck!
