I understand that HD can only be received if you have an oval dish. Regular dishes need to be aimed vertically and horizontally in order to get one satelite. To get HD you need to receive a signal from both satelites. This requires the dish to be skewed, i.e. tilted in such a way so as to receive both signals. I have never bothered with this complex adjustment but someone else out there may have been sucessful.
