FYI! I was at INTERCAM in Melaque to change some cash and they asked me if I had an account, which I do. They called me into the office and said that they were updating all of the member files. I was told that if you do not use your account every 3 or 4 months it becomes inactive and then you must go through the review process again. Even though I used my account 3 or 4 times in the 9 months prior to leaving in June they said that since I was gone for 3 months they had to reauthorize my account. It took about 20 minutes but now I am good to go. Just wanted you all to know in case you want to go in and update prior to the busy season and prior to when you may need to write a check to transfer money over the season. Also, my friends successfully exchanged travelers cheques at BANAMEX and I was told at INTERCAM the bank once again now accepts non peso cash deposits so they must have changed the law that was put in place in April of this year. I have not been to the bank to make a non peso cash deposit so can not verify what I was told at INTERCAM. Adios!
