Jugeton – Presents for Village Kids!!!

The town hall of La Manzanilla is putting on “El Jugeton” to raise money to buy gifts for every child in the village for the “Dia de los Reyes” celebration on January 6th. The fundraiser consists of an event with live performances of dancing and singing by local folks and goods and food for sale in the main plaza for the next 4 Sundays, starting Dec. 5th. The event will start each Sunday, around 8 or 8:30pm How can you help support this event???? • Show up at the events, buy food and have fun! • Ask to be put on the event schedule, if you have a special talent • Donate toys for the January 6th delivery of toys to the children • Make a monetary contribution towards the purchase of toys (you will soon find donation boxes around town at several different businesses where you can leave donations). To make a donation to the event—toys, monetary or goods, please talk to Norma at “El Cazador” hotel on Maria Asuncion, Yolanda (the mayor’s wife) who has the liquor store near the crocodile estuary or contact me.
