| Good point on the venting issue. Every trap should also have a vent which exits the building. Maximum trap arm length to a vent for 2" pipe is 5 feet. Poor venting is analogous to putting a finger over the top of a drinking straw and lifting the column of water out of the glass- vapor lock prevents the tube from draining. |
