| Mark, thanks for the explaination. I understand about the Y fittings. Would a p-trap for a sewer pipe be similar to one ,say, that is under a sink but made with 4 inch pipe? If so would that be a possible location for blockage in the future? I have another question which may have a simple explaination. I asked the engineer when the system was going in but was not given an adequate answer. OK, lets say the system is up and running, even to the homes uphill. There is a pump failure, meanwhile people keep flushing toilets, etc and gravity is bringing the black water downhill, the sewer lines in the street fill up and the pressure builds. What is to keep the sewage water from backing up into my home at beach level? I imagine a blackwater fountain shooting up from the toilet! |
