Tenacatita Fiesta

It was a great day. Wonderful to watch boatloads of people go by, waving their Mexican flags. When I arrived, the band was playing full on, food and agua fresca was being served, tourists were on the beach and in the water, the locals were dancing, talking, eating and generally having a good time.

Diputados David Hernandez and Salvador Caro drove in through the gate, but had to hand over their credencial (identification). Many people drove out from town, apparently the guys by the gate had a stack of credenciales and it was taking awhile to sort them out as people were leaving. Those of us who came in by boat (from La Manz. or Blue Bay, and stayed on the Federal Zone were not asked anything. The police were super obvious - no lines of cops with shields, just a couple here, a couple there. But people who started walking away from the federal zone were stopped and told to go back.

I, personally, had a really good time swimming and dancing, and just having us all there - it felt like a big family reunion. Here are a few photos-

I was having too much fun to take more pictures.
