Another home theft--Boca

Theives entered our Boca home between 7-8pm Thursday, Dec. 30 while we were at the beach and resort with friends. In order to access our house, it was necessary to cut through jungle from the arroyo behind our house, to our chain link fence. Then a large hole was cut. THis was followed by using a heavy tool to break our deadbolt lock on the door.
We lostt 2 cameras, 2 pairs of binoculars, Mexican cell phone, and some acupuncture equipment. The latter is certainly not useful to the theives and will be missed. If anyone finds a pink flowered zipper cosmetic bag(there were 2 of them)with acupunture needles and equipment(including a battery powered electronic stimulator for pain), please let me know.

This was a very premeditated invasion, as we now find a well worn path from the arroyo to the fence. Spooky to thing of being under surveillance. This sounds similar in some ways to Victor and Julie's experience--premeditated, planned, intensive tools used.
What to do? The local police came in a timely manner and were very nice(and well armed). They urged us to also report this to a gov. office in La Huerta. We are wondering what experience others have had in reporting and if anyone else has gone to La Huerta. Victor would like to talk with the President of La Huerta, expressing our concern about increased theft. Please contatct him if you are interested.

We don't know the overall solution to the increase in theft in this area, but one cause is
the economy. There are many deterrents to experiencing trespass and theft--and all seem to be defeatable by determined ladrones.

We can be reached at mayama@digitalpath.net or (new cell phone)315-107-6295.
