Carol - When you post on tomzap, remember that there are actually 7 or 8 local boards. You will see them all when you go to the general visitor comments section. The other thing I would suggest is to get someone to put up a notice in Santiago (Manzanillo) at the beach club and to let the local bridge clubs in Melaque and Santiago know about it. I am not bridging this year, but someone might be doing duplicate in Santiago and could help you out with that contact and posting. There is also the Rotary Club in Barra and you can even do a presentation to them if you have time. Finally, the tour outfits in Melaque and Barra (I'm thinking here of Dan and Ruth at Mex-Eco and Nan at Sea to Sierra) might be interested in setting up transportation for a small fee. Not sure who has vans or what. It could be a tourist day in La Manz for those from the south. Hector's in Barra also gets a lot of traffic and might be a good place to post something. |
