Sorry I missed the show! Luminescent planktons are dinoflagellates which luminesce when threatened/disturbed. Phytoplankton are chlorophyllic (have chlorophyll and perform photosynthesis, taking in carbon dioxode during light and emitting oxygen during dark). Phytoplankton produce half of the Earth's oxygen. Phytoplankton do not luminesce. |
