Did a Google search using the query - frío en Jalisco

Closest thing I found for the reason is http://www.milenio.com/node/621148 -- translated

"The National Weather Service (SMN) said that the remnants of the front number 20
and the air mass that accompanies it will cause temperatures between zero and
five degrees Celsius in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chiapas,
Distrito Federal, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco , Mexico state, Michoacan, Morelos."

I don't know how to look up "front number 20"

The breeze is off shore and if you follow where this line leads it seems to be
the reason
