The whale watching tour today was spectacular! We saw a number of Humpbacks early into the tour and were able to observe them at quite a close vista. In addition, we saw Bottlenose dolphins, an Olive Ridley Sea Turtle, and a plethora of Brown Boobies (talking about birds here!;-). Of course, I can never guarantee that we´re going to see whales, but the Humpbacks are definitely here and active, and they should be through early March, based on past observations. As well, we are in touch with other boats who give us the heads up. The tour will be offered again next Friday, Jan. 28. We meet at 9:00 a.m. in front of Restaurant Cato´s. The cost is $550 pesos / person, and a snack is included. The tour will only run with a minimum of 5 persons. The max. is 10. Custom tours can also be arranged with a 5-person minimum.
