Hi Sylvia, we just came back from Tonala and stayed at the Casa de las Palomas and I can highly recommend it. Best hotel I have stayed in at in Tonala - modern, clean, quiet and non smoking. The staff were lovely. It is about 2 blocks from the main plaza, so not as close as the hotel tonala, but worth the extra walk. www.casadelaspalomas.com 01-33-3683-55-43. They speak some English. It cost $560 pesos per night for 4 adults.Now, if we could just find somewhere for dinner in Tonala?! Not much in the way of choices - I would recommend a cab into Tlaquepaque, plenty of good restaurants there. |
