As one of the litigants, I will only comment on the manner in which the Tenacatita land was seized August 4.

By eyewitness accounts, it was brutal, and by various legal interpretations (still being adjudicated) unconstitutional. People with guns stormed an unarmed community and evicted them without any notice or what due process.

Community people were injured in the forced eviction, some shot, some jailed.

Yes, Mexico has progressed in 20 years. But this incident is a throwback well past that point in time.
