Unfortunately, front-loader washers are not readily available around here. We found ours on sale at Liverpool in Colima, and they delivered to La Manz - from Mexico City believe it or not!

Front loading washers are all that's used in commercial applications, as they save both water and energy. They are also much easier on your clothing, the action of dropping through the air being more effective than the center agitator of a top-loader, which sometimes just rubs on a couple of pieces of clothing for the whole cycle.

Front-loading washing machines have long ruled in Europe and Asia, now are starting to take over North America, but still seem quite new to Mexico.
