How big is 42 Hectares?

I read this article and wondered if there was a way to use Google Earth to calculate
the area of the land Villalobos is occupying in Tenacatita. Only the Pro version of Google Earth
has this function (it's included in the Ruler tool): To renew my subscription cost http://earth-store.sketchup.com/product-view.ep?pID=COEPRONEW - $400 usd
or I could use this free program with regular Google Earth.

In the map below the red line is where the guard gate is. The blue line is approximately
what Villalobos is guarding as his (open to correction). Does anyone have Google Earth Pro
or want to learn the GE-Path program and approximate the area?
