Community Garden - Worm Fertilizer

To all of you that have plots in the community garden AND to anyone else with your own plots. EVERYONE!!! There is plenty of fertilizer in the form of the effluent from the worm container. It has been casting off quite a bit of liquid effluent that is great fertilizer. You don't need to do anything. The boys in the area have gathered up 2.0L and 2.5L pop bottles and made it just how it is supposed to be applied. The pure effluent has been cut with water 10:1. The full bottles are in the shade underneath the concrete structure that holds the 1,100 L tenako in the community garden. The concrete base was painted Oxide Red yesterday, curtosy of Rebecca who donated the paint. So, swing by, look under the tenako, under the shovel and rake handles and take what you need. The only think I ask is that you return either a similar bottle (with cap) or that bottle with cap. Simply but the emptys back where you got it and the boys (Lyle, Gael, et al) will get them re-filled up for some earnings. Use it as you see fit. We've been emptying a 2.0L bottle on perhaps 2-3 tomatoe plants about every week. Seems to be doing great.
