I'm blowing my cover, but Hotel Tapatio. I never see any other gringos there. A wonderland of a resort--and cheap if you book online. 15 min from the airport. I always stay there when flying in or out. free shuttle there. In Guad go to Las Cabanas--the Orozco Museum, a World Heritage site. A world class painter, architect, engineer, todo. He combines all his skills in the murals all over the ceilings. The paintings actually change positions, as you move from different vantage points. Obama toured it when there. In Guad, in the Centro Historico, I stay at La Rotonda, Liceo #130,phone: 01-333-614-1017, www.hoteleselectos.com, email: larotonda@hoteleselectos.com This place is an easy walk to all downtown things, I never see gringos there, has a charming inner courtyard w/ wonderful rooms surrounding it. It's cheaper than Hotel Morelos. |
