Kindergarten Fundraising

In anticipation of Dia de los Ninos on April 30th, the La Manzanilla Kindergarten hopes to repair and improve the covered play area and repair the playground equipment. The project consists of painting the existing equipment, buying new seats for the swing sets, and bringing in sand to provide safe landings for the kids. The parents of the students will provide the labor to do this work and they are requesting contributions for the following materials: oil paints and anti-corrosive primer for the play equipment, vinyl paint for the posts, and new sand for the play area. Estimated cost for paints and supplies is $3300 pesos. The sand will cost $800 pesos. Their goal is to raise $4100 pesos. The Kindergarten has raised $2000 pesos already to buy new seats for the swing set. Your contributions in cash or materials are welcome. Please make your cash contributions at Manos Ayudandos Bookstore, on Playa Blanca, half a block off the Jardin near the Ejido office. If you wish to donate materials, please coordinate with either Larry Segall(larrysegall@earthlink.net) or Stephanie Wunner of the bookstore (351-7251). We thank everyone in advance for your help with this project. It will provide improved safety and games for the kids and also help protect the play equipment from summer's humidity and rust.
