Luis Edwardo Gonzalez will be doing a watercolor workshop in March 8-11. see write up and samples of his work at my email.nlennie@prodigy.net.mx He is considered to be one of the top watercolor artist in Mexico. He is coming to La Paloma to do this workshop. I wanted to invite you and any other watercolor painters who would like the opportunity to study with a master watercolor artist. His name is Luis Edwardo Gonzalez he is the maestro of Efren Gonzalez who all of us are in love with as a oil painter. He puts Luis Edwardo Gonzalez as one of the most significant painters of this century and so do the historians of Jalisco as he is written up as one of the best watercolor artists of the last 500 years.. And as Efren says he is so very humble as to say" oh that..". He has headed up the watercolor dept of the University of Guadalajara arts school for the last 20 years. To have him come to the coast at Efrens invitation is fantastic. I am hoping you might want to participate and possibly bring a few from La Manz to help car pool. I would like to close the class at 8 persons. the cost is $4000 pesos.. some materials will be provided but you should bring your own as much as possible. Again this is a major opportunity.. and I would like to spread the word to as many of us as possible who love watercolor and want to learn more and more. I for one never stop wanting to learn from masters. if the book is true his ability would put him along side Rembrandt and Van Gogh. ? I dont have the emails of any of the painters in La Manz.. so your help would be terrific. in spreading the word.. Efren says he is great with beginners also. but the idea would be to get folks who have knowledge of watercolor and color mixing. Nancy Lennie
