Thank you again for your interest in attending the traditional oven workshop being planned by the DIF of La Huerta. The workshop now has about 30 people attending (with a great mix of about 15 Mexicans and 15 gringos!) I apologized for not getting back to each person personally who expressed interest, but please be assured that I have you on the list if emailed me or posted a message here on the message board prior to Feb. 20th.

Here is the information on the workshop which Guadalupe has provided me with:

Date: Wednesday, February 23rd

Time: 11am-ish to 3pm-ish

Location: Maria Asuncion #72 (at Berta Gonzales’ house just past a pescadaria)

Bring: Notebook & pencil for taking notes & 20 peso contribution for cheese for quesadillas

Activities planned:
Talk on gardening and learning how to build & use a traditional oven.
Potluck lunch after workshop.

Guadalupe’s has organized the Mexicans to bring main dishes and desserts and is asking for the foreigners to contribute 20 pesos each to help out with the cost of cheese for the quesadillas.

If you have any questions, please call 351-5362.
