Regatta La Manzanilla 2011

I was on a very short mailing list to receive an email regarding this Saturday's sailboat regatta. I take that to mean I'm supposed to share the information. DATE: Saturday, February 26 LOCATION: La Manzanilla, Tenacatita Bay, starting and ending at Figaro's restaurant SPONSORS/ORGANIZERS: City of La Huerta; Tourism Department of Jalisco; Costalegre and Vallarta Yacht Club; Corona beer ELIGIBILITY: Open to all sailing yachts REGISTRATION: At the Captain's Meeting, 11 a.m. on the 26th at Figaro's SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Distributed at registration DOCKAGE: Available at the North end of the Bay, with pangas ferrying participants to and from the beach CONTACT; Mike Danielson Email: pvsailing@yahoo.com Telephone: (329) 295-6004 Rolando Romero Email: pvrolomx@yahoo.com.mx Telephone: (322) 111-0294 www.regattalamanzanilla.com.mx THE PROGRAM: The event will start with the Captain's Meeting at 11 a.m. at Figaro's where competitors will be registered and receive sailing instructions. The race will start around 12:30/1 p.m. and end approximately 2 1/2 hours later, both in front of Figaro's. While the race is on, there will be entertainment on the beach with the Corona girls cheering things up with games, music and fun. Closing ceremony at Figaro's, where winners will be awarded.
