Walked the dog down at 4pm. There was sea water pouring into the arroyo by the concrete bridge. Water had come up pretty close to the walkway next to Lora Loka's, up to the boat right in front of her restaurant. Then the water receded quite quickly way back out, maybe over about only 15 minutes. I agree with Dave that these are awe-inspiring experiences when one thinks about the power and the distances involved. Daniel pointed out to me this morning that the Tenacatita end of the bay is oriented so as to protect us from a tsunami coming from that direction. Nothing that happened here today contradicts that observation.
