Barb, There is no way to track where your laptop is unless it is equipped with a GPS chip. Deleting personal information on your laptop can be done with software. The person that steals your laptop would need to log on to the internet and you would have had to registered that your laptop was stolen with the software company that you had purchased it from. This all depends on again if the person that has your laptop is able to bypass your sign on and then logs onto the internet. If the person bypasses your log on and does not sign on to the internet all of your personal information is accessible and there is nothing anyone could do about it. 1st line of security make sure you have and require a sign on when you start it up. |
