The potluck was wonderful - such a delicious well balanced meal, and good company, with all the children having such a fun time, and people from all walks of La Manzanilla life celebrating the harvest. (It's cool for a northerner to think of having a harvest celebration in March!)We even had a compost turning demonstration; it was quite impressive to see how hot and steamy it was. Thank you so much to June, Rick, Maria, Javier, and many others who are over there watering everyone's garden, and volunteering lots of hours to make sure everyone who wants a plot can get one. Jaqueline, (who has gone back to Vancouver now)- if you are reading this, we appreciate the arugula, lettuce and basil that we have inherited - and promise to use it well. Did anyone take pictures? I'd love to see them posted here. Adios
