Abel, the maestro of the La Manzanilla Art Project, a school for teaching painting and other forms of art to children, has again asked me to translate and post this message: "Hello friends, Abel here to say to you that I am very grateful to the few people who went [last Saturday] to buy at the Jardin and also to the few people who bought outside of the [show at the] Jardin. I also wish to state that those buying the students' paintings are people who are very interested in helping the community because we have a good art project here, [one] to which everyone should give a little bit of help to continue the project, whether they be Mexican, Canadian, American or from elsewhere. OK, friends, what comes next? Each FRIDAY we will be at the TIANGUIS in the Jardin in case you wish to participate by buying articles from the school of art. [The proceeds from] everything you carry away is/are invested in the art studio if you decide to participate. I will take note of your names to thank you on the La Manzanilla Message Board.
