I have really dry skin, so I always bring a big tube of Eucrin when we come south. This year what they had at our local BiMart was Eucrin "Calming Cream". It works better than anything I've ever used, cortisone etc. ,to make itching from anything go away. Not quite instant, but fast, and for a long time.
Just a tip.
