Peter and I went up there two years ago to escape Semana Insana. We drove the dirt road through Lagunillas de Macuaca and Rio Cuzalapa. We went through Colima on Good Friday and then up to Comala. And we poked around Carrizalillo and Maria looking for hot springs. There is camping at some of the quintas up there, with swimming holes. We found many temezcales, rasberry jam, and shade grown coffee, and a river full of tadpoles.
