I'm hoping that violence doesn't escalate in the wake of apprehending and beating up the thieves. Although there appears to be little 'rule of law' here, given what has happened in Tennacatita and in other similar situations, outsiders 'becoming the law' (regardless of our understandable anger and adrenalin rushes) may help solidify the stereotypes to which we are already subjected. Hopefully Luke and his family will not be visited by angry relatives of the accused who are bigger, stronger and have even less to lose. All that being said, congratulations for showing the public that some 'Anglos' can and do protect themselves accordingly. Perhaps this has given other potential thieves something to think about. Always two sides to every coin, eh? (that's Canadian)
