Well, just got the info from my Mexican friend. She says that there is a Mass the first day of every month at noon, and folks who go take something to donate to the poor.....flour, rice, beans, whatever. All the churches do this, our other priest did as well, however he did not enjoy the fireworks as much as our current priest does.
And that was the reason for the bombs today! Normally an explanation would not be as easy!
