Empty Tinaco?

We spend 6 months here, and last year, while we were gone, our tinaco apparently developed a foul odor and had to be cleaned out.

This year, I would like to leave our tinaco empty while we are away for 6 months. It is surrounded by a concrete wall, so shouldn't blow away in a stiff wind. Any reason why I shouldn't do this?
