I went to a meeting in Guadalajara yesterday along with members of the Fishing Cooperative of Tenacatita who are filing a demanda for violation of their constitutional rights, indemnification of equipment and more. First Lourdes (the young, woman reporter from TV-Azteca, who got heavily pepper sprayed by the police in October) interviewed one of the members about the sanction given by PROFEA (see my last email) and then she interviewed one of the lawyers. Later the mesa directiva of the fishing co-op met with the lawyer to hand in all the relevant papers.

We know the wheels of justice can move very slowly. Hopefully they're starting to pick up speed.
