Most people would say "I was burglarized" or "my house was burglarized". I find your recalcitrance quite amusing, if not stupid. I think theft is a despicable crime, but when it happens face to face and includes violence or the threat of violence the crime reaches another, more grave level. Hence we have words to distinguish the two forms of larceny and attach a greater penalty to robbery than burglary.
