new use for "dead" Chinese paper shades

 You know those paper shades that you can buy in Chinatown or Ikea - they get torn and dirty eventually, but don't throw them away! Unassemble them, (they flatten down easily) and give them to Arte Sabado - held at Linda Koenig's house. The kids (and their adult helpers), love to revive them with an extra layer of tissue paper and glue. Maybe next winter solstice we can have a lantern festival. |
